The Osha root (Latin: ligusticum poeteri) is the most widely used herbal medicine. Almost every Indian tribe in North America uses a kind of ligusticum for medical, ritual, and symbolic purposes. The Osha plant grows in Taos, New Mexico and southern Colorado. Their power is found in the roots. Osha is the plant that is associated with happiness and protection.
