The Emperor's dream of Ṧⱨönjá takes us back to the 4th century of northern India to shape for us the gifts of a warrior with a heart for those less privileged. This beat starts with the sounds of his empire swirling around as the collective of familiar sounds are introduced, then contemplated. The emperor, meditated on ways to provide relief to the sad, the poor, the helpless, and the afflicted. A reflection in this music, this luster reaches you through waves of dreams and visions of euphoric times.
These memories are the sounds of the story of the Curupira. With backwards feet to confuse trackers, fiery red hair, and a voice that can mimic both animals and humans, the Curupira is a blend of West African and European myths. The Crupira’s faith is to keep the balance between the jungle’s gifts, the humans’ needs and the protection of the land to produce these gifts. Only those hunters with the instinctive, inborn memory of this respect are allowed to retrieve these gifts from the Curupira’s jungles. The memory of the Curupira sustaining both human and animals is an important moral to sustain life on earth today for all mammals, equally.
